September marks the beginning of the Season of Creation. This year, the celebration coincides with the Global Climate Strike (20-27 Sept) where millions of young people will take part to urge local and global leaders to embark in greater efforts to address the climate emergency.
In solidarity with the global climate movement, the Apu Palamguwan Cultural Education Center in Bukidnon, Philippines, will hold a Tapok (youth summit) for indigenous youth in Upper Pulangi, 19-20 September, on the interconnectedness of culture and caring for Creation and the integral role of indigenous communities in climate change mitigation.
