APC receives citronella processing equipment from LGU Malaybalay

The hydro steam distillation machine, platform digital weighing scale, and drying rack equipment for the DOST-Region X citronella processing project implemented by APC were recently turned over by officials and staff of the City Government of Malaybalay in a turnover activity held at the APC Complex in Bendum, Bukidnon.

During the turn-over ceremony, Engineer Adrian Gamboa, City Planning and Development Coordinator, shared his hopes that the Pulangiyēn community will benefit from this effort while DOST-Bukidnon Provincial Head Ritchie May Guno reminded the group of the DOST project’s goal of providing livelihood opportunities for indigenous communities, especially the young women, and requested the local government’s continuing assistance and support to the project.

APC-FFLM Coordinator Jason Menaling and Operations Head Liza San Mateo expressed their appreciation to the various agencies that assisted and undertook the task of implementing this project using their existing resources.

Fr. Pedro Walpole , APC Executive Director also reminded the group of the value of the project as an alternative source of livelihood for communities in the uplands such as in Upper Pulangi.
