APC continues its commitment to education in the uplands through a quarterly recognition program, release of report cards, and regular parents’ meetings. These events celebrate students’ achievements and seek to nurture connections between the school and the families served.
Throughout the school year, these gatherings are a vital space for collaboration among teachers, students, and parents. The 1st Quarter Parents’ Meeting, held in August 2024, focused on school policies, parental contributions, and the importance of consistency in children’s education, reminding parents about the impact of transferring children between schools during the school year. The recognition program celebrated students’ academic progress early in the school year while cultural performances added a joyful atmosphere to the event.
The 2nd Quarter Parents’ Meeting in November 2024 emphasized how diligent attendance and self-discipline are factors in their child’s academic performance. School leaders explained the grading system and addressed concerns about students struggling to maintain their grades. Policies on dormitory life and weekend home visits were clarified. The recognition program acknowledged students who showed notable improvements, while a folk-dance performance from students added a cultural touch to the celebration. Parents make every effort to attend the quarterly meetings despite difficult travel conditions due to persistent rains, demonstrating their commitment to their children’s education.
The 3rd Quarter Recognition Program took place on 21 February 2025, featuring students’ presentations of their talents and a tribute to parents. The event began with a Mass that inspired the day’s activities in gratitude and reflection. Many students were honored with certificates of achievement, stirring up emotional moments for parents, especially those from Barangay Kulaman, who expressed their gratitude to APC for the support to their children.
During the tribute to parents, students from different grade levels performed songs, poetry, and dances, and expressed their deep appreciation for their parents’ sacrifices. The event concluded with students personally handing letters of gratitude to their parents, leaving many in tears.
More than a hundred parents attended and actively joined discussions on school policies and upcoming activities that they agreed to support. APC School Manager Maura Lipanda reiterated the importance of maintaining a strong school-community relationship and encouraged parents to continue supporting their children’s educational journey.
