Culture-based education is discussed in a webinar organized by the Apu Palamguwan Cultural Education Center (APC) and Jesuit Worldwide Learning (JWL) on 23 April 2025, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm (Manila, PHT).
Dr Edilberto de Jesus, former Secretary of the Department of Education in the Philippines, will share his reflections on culture-based, mother tongue-based, and multilingual education in the Philippines while Dr Tom McFarland, an expert on inclusive education, will tackle culture-based and community-based learning in JWL’s higher education learning facilitator program.
Ms Anna Mayr moderates the discussion and she is also involved with JWL’s Instructional Design.
Also included in the webinar is the screening of Sharing the Voices of Students at APC, a 15-minute video.
