A Christmas message

Pedro Walpole SJ, APC Executive Director

Looking back on the past 11 months, our journey together is not always easy yet filled with moments that remind us why our work in APC matters: the laughter of children learning with joy, the quiet guidance of parents and elders, the steady dedication of teachers, and the constant support of friends and partners who believe in our mission.

In Bendum and across our connecting schools, we continue to see how learning becomes alive when it grows from the land, from culture, and from the relationships that hold us together. We witnessed small meaningful steps – students gaining confidence, communities strengthening their role in education, and our teachers continuing to give their best even amidst challenges. These are simple things, but they are the heart of who we are.

To APC teachers and staff, thank you for your patience, your care, and your commitment. You carry so much, often quietly and without recognition, yet your work shapes the lives of our children every day.

To the parents, guardians, and community leaders, thank you for walking with us, for sharing wisdom, and for reminding us that education is a shared responsibility.

And to APC partners and friends, your trust and companionship continue to sustain us.

Christmas invites us to pause, to rest, to breathe, and to reconnect with what truly matters. May this season bring you time with family, moments of peace, and renewed strength for the year ahead.

As we welcome the New Year, may we continue walking together with hope – grounded in the land, guided by the spirits, and united in our commitment to nurture the next generation.

Blessed Christmas and a peaceful, hope-filled New Year.
