Completers of various Jesuit Worldwide Learning (JWL) courses were recognized during the 2026 APC graduation and moving-up ceremonies, highlighting APC’s continuing effort to provide learning opportunities that help strengthen local leadership, teaching, peacebuilding, and service within the community.
Among those recognized were completers of the Learning Facilitator Course (Eneriza Menaling), Educational Innovation and Leadership (Risajean Berdesola), Peace Leader Course (Arman Sagula), Reimagining Democratic Foundations for Peace (Maura Lipanda and Jason Menaling), and Youth Sports Facilitator Course (Jessie Berdesola, Diana Fe Buno, and Jessel Enero).
Also recognized were the students from Grades 10, 11, and 12 who completed the Global English Language (GEL) Course under JWL. The students received certificates for completing the B1+ level under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) following the Cambridge English Unlimited Course, an internationally recognized English language program used to help learners develop practical communication skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
The GEL program is an opportunity for students to strengthen their confidence in using English while remaining within their community and cultural environment. Through the program, students engaged with global learning opportunities without leaving behind their responsibilities to their families and community.
The recognition of both JWL and GEL completers during the graduation ceremonies highlighted APC’s vision of education that continues beyond the classroom and beyond formal grade levels. It was also a reminder that learning in Bendum is not only about personal achievement, but about preparing young people and educators to serve their community with deeper understanding, confidence, and commitment.
