Student recognition and tribute to parents reflect strong community bonds

APC’s third grading Recognition Program on 13 February 2026 was a moving gathering that reflected the strong bonds between the school, its learners, and their families in the different communities in Upper Pulangi.

The day began with the celebration of the Holy Mass and an opening address from Pedro Walpole SJ, APC Executive Director, that reminded the community of gratitude and shared purpose.

Emotions filled the venue as report cards were distributed and many students were in tears, some overwhelmed with joy, others perhaps carrying the weight of their struggles. The presence of the parents showed their commitment in supporting their children’s education, and coming from different villages, the journey they undertook to be present made the occasion even more significant.

Students received honors for their achievements with some learners who were not honor students in the previous quarter achieving honor standing in the third grading period.

Following the program, separate meetings were held for the parents and students of Kinder 2, Grade 6, Grade 10, and Grade 12 that focused on preparations for the graduation and end-of-school-year ceremonies.

This APC school gathering is a reminder that education at APC is not just about learning in the classroom but is also a celebration and heartfelt encounter among students, parents, and teachers and the communities that value education and learning for their youth.
